Alec played 180 games with Essendon for 11 years including four grand finals: 1959, 1962, 1965 and 1968.

He played for Victoria four times and is a Life Member of the Essendon Football Club. Has been a specialist coach with young players at Essendon for the past 20 years.

Alec started the cleaning service in 1972. It is now owned and run by James Aforozis and Alec continues as a consultant to the business.
